About me
Hi, I'm Zubeida, born and bred in Cape Town. I'm a wife, daughter, sister, and friend, and assume so many other roles, but my most important role is being a mommy to a super smart, very serious 12-year-old and a very energetic, fun-loving 7-year-old.
I have a degree in Marketing and have been a state official for more than 20 years, with the majority of this time spent in the Tourism Industry. I'm passionate about the industry and being part of a team responsible for making our City, Province, and Country the best possible place for tourists to visit.
My other superpower, as I've been told by friends, family, and especially colleagues, is my ability to remain calm in stressful situations. I'm still not sure whether I was born calm or whether I've taught myself to self-regulate to calmness when stressed. There are various things I do when I am stressed, like yoga, reading, knitting, and of course my Sh'zen skincare routine (Please read my blog on My journey with Sh'zen in the Blog section). This was the inspiration for my Get Calm with Zubs Instagram page.
